SUMMARY:PA ABLE and Social Security Disability Programs
DESCRIPTION:Experts will discuss how PA ABLE Savings Program and Social Security Disability Programs work together. You’ll hear from Diana Fishlock\, outreach specialist for the PA ABLE Savings Program\, and Frank Magni\, Social Security Administration public affairs specialist. \n\n\n\nThe PA ABLE Savings Program gives individuals with qualified disabilities a way to save for disability-related expenses while maintaining important benefits and supporting health\, independence\, and quality of life. The Social Security Administration’s Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program pays benefits to adults and children who meet requirements for a qualifying disability and have limited income and resources. \n\n\n\nThe Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) program pays benefits to individuals and certain family members if the individual is “insured.” While these two programs are different\, the medical requirements are the same. Traditionally people receiving such benefits could only save a small amount\, but ABLE accounts change the landscape\, allowing people receiving these benefits to save for a house\, a car\, and other everyday expenses. \n\n\n\nIf you require accommodations to participate in this webinar\, please contact us at info@paable.gov.

Any sustainable business is based on delivering value that customers are willing to pay for. A neurodiverse-friendly business delivers this value by empowering neurodiverse employees to make their contribution to the value proposition.  Also include resumes or a description of relevant experience of the two primary team members. Please note that while business-specific experience may be helpful it is not the only relevant experience for success in this endeavor.  Also indicate if you wish to be considered for scholarship assistance. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nPlease email the one-page description and resumes or experience descriptions to Tom Edwards at  tve@temple.edu.  Please include Autism Forge in the email title. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nAccepted teams will be notified one month prior to the start of the next scheduled workshop. \n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Neurodivergence in the Workplace: Navigating Challenges\, Disclosure\, and Accommodations for Success
DESCRIPTION:Neurodivergent individuals bring unique perspectives and talents to the workplace\, yet they often face significant challenges due to their neurological differences. While some neurodivergent employees can manage these challenges through personal strategies and tools\, others may require formal accommodations. Additionally\, we will explore the topic of disclosing neurodivergence in the workplace\, including the potential benefits and drawbacks of doing so at various stages. A list of resources on neurodivergence\, disclosure\, and accommodations will also be provided. \n\n\n\nSPEAKER BIO \n\n\n\nViktoriya is dedicated to helping neurodivergent individuals thrive at work by guiding them to understand their unique talents\, challenges\, and needs\, while equipping them with strategies for success.
