SUMMARY:Customized Employment Certification
DESCRIPTION:On February 12\, the Arc of Pennsylvania will begin a 10 day Customized Employment certification course designed to train providers in Customized Employment\, a process designed to reach a point of employment where both the needs of the employee and the needs of the employer are met with a particular focus on the needs of individuals with disabilities. Prior to the launch of the course\, attendees will need to find a learning partner – an individual with a disability with a desire to participate in the Customized Employment process – who they will practice what they learned in the course on. Each session will take place from 9 am to 4 pm EST. Registration for the course is $200 per person to audit the course and $650 per person to take the certification course. SUMMARY:SEPA SHRM: Neurodiversity in the Workplace
DESCRIPTION:On February 20\, the Southeastern Pennsylvania chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SEPA SHRM) will hold a virtual meeting to discuss issues relating to neurodiversity in the workplace\, with the end goal being to educate attendees on the prevalence of neurodiversity in the workplace in addition to how best to support neurodiverse employees in order to foster a more inclusive workplace environment. This meeting will begin at 8:15 am and will feature Kevin Davis and Dr. Kristin Austin from the Epic Brokers Consulting Group as the presenters. \n\n\n\nAdvance registration fees are $25 for SEPA SHRM chapter members\, $35 for non-chapter members and guests\, $10 for full-time SHRM student members\, and $0 for members in transition (must have been a SEPA Chapter Member for 1+ years) \n\n\n\nLate registration and walk-in fees is $35 for SEPA SHRM chapter members\, $45 for non-chapter members and guests\, $20 for full-time SHRM student members\, and $10 for members in transition (must have been a SEPA Chapter Member for 1+ years).

DESCRIPTION:On February 27\, the Eagles Autism Foundation will be holding the first of their five all abilities clinics – a drumline clinic for individuals between the ages of 6 and 21. This clinic will take place from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at the Lincoln Financial Field. Participants will be able to gain hands-on experience in learning how to play percussion from the Eagles Drumline themselves. They will also enjoy a live performance from and take pictures with the Eagles Drumline.
